This policy explains what Smart Toy Choice collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We keep it deliberately narrow: this is a review site, not an account-based service, so we hold very little.

Who we are
Smart Toy Choice publishes independent reviews of smart toys, coding robots and STEM kits. For any privacy question, contact us at the address on our contact page.
What we collect
- Server logs. Like any website, our server records IP address, requested URL, referrer and browser type for a limited period. We use this to keep the site running and to block abusive traffic.
- Aggregate site statistics. At present we count page views from our own server logs. We are not running a third-party analytics product, no profile of you is built, and you are not tracked across other sites. If a measurement tool is added, it will be named here and the date at the top of this page will change.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
- Nothing else. There are no accounts, no comment system, and no newsletter sign-up collecting your details at this time.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies ourselves. Two exceptions exist, both outside our control:
- Affiliate links. When you click a link to a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer may set a cookie to attribute the sale. This is covered in our affiliate disclosure.
- Infrastructure. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies.
Children’s privacy
This site is written for adults — parents, carers, teachers and gift buyers. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and we do not operate any feature that invites a child to submit information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the site — our hosting provider — and only to the extent required. Where a provider processes data outside your country, it does so under its own standard contractual terms.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: a short, rolling window, then deleted.
- Site statistics: aggregate only, no individual records retained by us.
- Email correspondence: kept while the matter is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, or to request a copy in a portable format. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email us. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of the page. We do not backdate revisions.
